Executive Director, Partnership for Food Safety Education

The Partnership for Food Safety Education (PFSE) announces several appointments to its Board of Directors. PFSE unites educators, industry, and government so that together, we can prevent foodborne illness, protect public health, and strengthen trust in the safety of our food.

The Partnership appointed three new board members:

  • Jana McCurley, MBA, Sr. Communications Specialist at Wayne-Sanderson Farms
  • Wendy Reinhardt Kapsak, MS, RDN, President and CEO of the International Food Information Council (IFIC)
  • Natalie Seymour, MS, Food Safety & Public Health Manager at Ecolab

“We’re excited to welcome new board members whose deep experience in communications strategy will be invaluable as we continue our mission.” said Dr. Barb Masters, PFSE Board Chair and Vice President of Regulatory Policy, Food and Agriculture with Tyson Foods, Inc. “Their expertise will strengthen how we support educators in delivering clear, effective, and trusted food safety messages.”

Rotating off the board are Harold Chase, Director of Government Affairs with NSF and past Board Chair, as well as Steven Mandernach, Executive Director of the Association for Food and Drug Officials (AFDO).

“We are deeply grateful for the leadership and service of Harold Chase and Steven Mandernach as they rotate off the Board. Their commitment to food safety education, thoughtful governance, and service-focused leadership has meaningfully strengthened our organization, and we value their ongoing dedication to advancing the field.” said Ashley Eisenbeiser, PFSE Vice Chair and Vice President of Food and Product Safety Programs with FMI-The Food Industry Association.
